Be part of the foundation.
Sea to Shelter is a veteran-founded nonprofit at the pilot stage. We don't have a long track record to show you — we have a clear plan, a real problem on the beaches of Bávaro and Punta Cana, and a commitment to building ecological homes for the families who need them most.
We're looking for advisors and partners.
We don't have formal institutional partners yet. What we have is a clear mission, a credible plan, and a genuine need for people with expertise in construction, environmental science, community development, and nonprofit operations.
If that's you — or if you know someone — we'd love to hear from you.
Ways to get involved
Field Volunteer
OpenFlexible — project-based
Help with sargassum collection, processing, or construction on the ground in the Dominican Republic. No prior experience required — just a willingness to work.
Skills-Based Volunteer
OpenRemote or in-person
Bring your expertise in construction, environmental science, logistics, communications, or nonprofit operations. Veterans with relevant skills are especially encouraged to reach out.
Founding Partner
OpenOngoing
Organizations aligned with environmental restoration, affordable housing, or Caribbean development — we're actively seeking founding partners to help shape the program.
